Skylight Ventilation Systems
Suntrenz offers two ventilation solutions that combine fresh air extraction with skylight installation. These include a ventilation system designed to integrate with our Suntubes, as well as VELUX opening skylight options.
Suntrenz Vent Extractor for Sun Tube Skylights
The Suntrenz Vent Extractor is a smart solution that combines natural light with effective ventilation. Designed to work seamlessly with our Suntubes, it transforms them into a dual-purpose system where daylight and extraction work together.
Ideal for bathrooms, laundries, and toilets, the system helps meet New Zealand Healthy Homes Standards.
The light diffuser installed in your ceiling features magnetic spacers that allow air to be drawn through the unit. This means the Suntube can provide both natural daylight and extraction ventilation through the same ceiling point.
No need for ugly ventilation grills!

Can a Skylight Replace a Bathroom or Kitchen Extractor Fan?
Yes – in many cases, it can.
Suntrenz vented skylight systems are designed to combine natural daylight with effective moisture and humidity extraction, helping create a brighter and healthier indoor environment.
Unlike traditional extractor fans that vent horizontally through the soffit, these systems vent vertically through the roof. Because warm, moist air naturally rises, this creates a more effective escape path for steam and humid air.
The result is reduced condensation, improved airflow, and a healthier bathroom or kitchen environment.
